STAGBI is a breed society and was established to provide credibility and integrity to the Standardbred and Trotting Horse in Harness Racing and other equestrian sports throughout Britain and Ireland.

STAGBI is the approved registration organisation with the UK government department DEFRA and at the 2003 International World Trotting conference STAGBI was recognised and approved as the standardbred registration body for Britain and Ireland.

STAGBI Future Broodmare Races - Update

STAGBI recognises that our racing mares are our future broodmares. To give these mares the opportunity to show their potential STAGBI have once again agreed to sponsor a series of Mares’ races.

Conditions are as follows:
- Open to any mare 4yrs old and over
- To be run as an ‘Open Preferred Handicap’ (previously Preferred FFA)
- To be run over a distance of 1 mile
- Minimum of 6 entries
- In the event of 10 or more entries, preference given to top 10 handicapped mares (top 8 in Corbiewood)
- Minimum 1st Prize money of £500

BHRC / IHRC races will be run at:

TIR PRINCE: Tues 5th June 2012** 07919 818925

CORBIEWOOD: Thurs 14th June 2012 07885 627299

YORK: Sat 22nd Sept 2012 07856 263502

IRELAND: Saturday 11th August at Portmanock

WBCRA Race will be run Sat Sept 22nd at Tair Gwaith
